How to publish your Web Pages with CUTE FTP

1) When CuteFTP is first run it will load up the FTP Site Manager. Click the  Add Folder  button; enter ISP-Q as the folder name and then click the  Accounts  button.

2) You should now have created a new folder called ISP-Q. Click once on this folder to highlight it; now click the  Add Site  button.

3) You will now be asked to provide some more information...

- in the  Site Label  box type My ISP-Q Webspace (or something similar)
- in the  Host Address  box type websites.isp-q.com
- in the  UserID  box type the username we supplied you with
- in the  Password  box type your ISP-Q password.

The  Initial Local Directory  field is not required - leave this blank.

4) Once you have done this click  OK . You should now have a new site added into the ISP-Q folder. Click once on this new site to select it and then click  Connect .

(At this stage, if you are not already connected to ISP-Q, you will be asked to do so.)

5) CuteFTP will now connect to the web space server, and will display a login screen asking you to confirm the connection. Log in to your webspace; you now are ready to upload your files.

6) CuteFTP has a 'drag and drop' interface similar to Windows.

In the left-hand window are  Local Files  (the files on your computer); and

in the right-hand window are  Remote Files  (the files in your webspace).

To upload a file from your computer, click once on it and hold the mouse button down. Drag it to the webspace folder and let go. The file will be copied to the new location.

Remember:
· CuteFTP does not upload folders that are inside other folders (called 'nested' directories). You have to copy from one directory at a time. Clicking the right mouse button once inside an online folder will bring up a menu and allow you to create new folders.
