Set Up Access on Windows XP

1) Click  Start  (then  Settings  if you have switched to 'classic' view) then  Control Panel .

2) Now select  Network Connections , then  New Connection Wizard  or  Create a New Connection .

3) Select "Connect to the Internet" then click  Next .

4) Select the "Set up my connection manually" button as per the screen above, then click  Next .

5) Select "Connect using a dial up modem" and then click  Next .

6) You are a asked to enter the name for your connection. Type "ISP-Q".

7) You are asked to enter the phone number. (Modems: 0845 660 2455; ISDN : 0845 660 2454) Prefix these with 140 if your telephone number (CLI) is withheld. Click  Next 

8) You will now be asked to enter your user name and password. Be sure to select the "Make this the default Internet connection" option before clicking  Finish  to complete your set up.
